Listen to one Smart Parrot

Greetings All, I have been away from this blog for over 2 months, however I am ready to begin again offering yoga tips that bless us all. I thought a few smiles were a good way to get into a healing state of mind and then get on our yoga mat!

Lillah, I checked my email–on my blackberry–upon finishing my pranayama practice this morning and was delighted to see your email about your blog. This video of Einstein the parrot was delightful! Really appreciate the series on SI joint stabilization–the initial motivation for my interest in yoga. Take care and see you soon at our next yoga weekend! Rebecca

I love this. My family used to have an African Grey parrot named Rap. He could sing the chorus of “Peggy Sue” all the way through, except he substituted “Patty Jean”, my step-mom’s name. He could whistle the theme to Andy Griffith and he mimicked dozens and dozens of my dad’s funny expressions and sayings. The most hysterical thing was when he wanted to join us at the dinner table he would mix them all together. Everyone could tell he was trying to be funny and charming so we’d bring him over to the table for his treats.

I have a dear friend who re-habilitates birds. Through patience and love she’s really been able to help these birds recover from the serious mental and emotional damage that often happens to birds in captivity.

Loving the videos! Will share far and wide.
