I hate seeing yoga exploited like everything else in the world! Those ridiculously scantily-clad “girls” with that insane music, on a bed (instead of a pole) with provocative expressions leaves a yukky feeling in the pit of my solar plexus. These do not fit with the other beautiful serious studies of asanas. If this is what it takes for men to be interested in yoga, maybe we should just leave them unenlightened at the beer joints and not contaminate our space.
Hi Brenda, Gosh once yoga hit the big market place all sorts of things show up. Certainly when the visions we do not like are in our face it is an opportunity to be a true yogi and look inside to discover what part of ourselves is calling for love and forgiveness….. When I am in a distasteful reflection I do my best to recognize that I am seeing some part of myself – emotions, beliefs or vibration – and develop more self love. As our great teachers tell us, as we love ourselves more fully and deeply, there is more love and respect in the world. Every discord is a great opportunity to evolve…. Bless you on your journey. Thanks for being part of my Blog. Namaste.
